About Us
Two students, two voices, one shared love of music.
We are April Smith and Lucien Lapthorn, performing together as Caesura. We met at college and formed the group to share our love of live music, shaping an acoustic duo around late nights, honest songs and the kind of performances that feel close enough to hear every breath between the chords.
Based in Cambridgeshire, we play pub gigs, local live music nights and intimate events. We are students, so the band is built around the time we can steal between studying, rehearsing and carrying instruments into candlelit corners of busy rooms.
The sound is personal and unfussy: acoustic guitar, shared harmonies, familiar songs, original feeling and a genuine passion for making music together.
